Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Reel Love account and its data at any time, right in the app:

  1. Open the You tab (bottom right) and tap the menu (top right).
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account at the bottom.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm.

You can also go straight to Settings, or get there from Edit profile → Account settings.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and sign-in
  • Your profile, profile photos and details
  • Every shot and shoot-back you posted, including the video files
  • Your reactions, notifications, blocks, notification settings, push tokens and invite code

Timing and what we keep

Deletion is immediate and can't be undone. You're signed out right away. Copies in our backups are removed as they rotate out. We keep limited records with the link to your account removed: de-identified usage statistics, and reports and moderation actions about your account, so we can keep the community safe and meet legal obligations. Videos you saved to your own device stay on your device. See our Privacy policy for details.

Can't get into the app?

Email support@shootyourshot.co from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account” and we'll delete it for you, usually within 24 hours and always within 30 days.

Frequently asked questions

How do I report someone or something?

Tap the ⋮ menu on a shot, a profile or a thread and choose Report. Pick a reason and add details if you want. Reports go straight to our safety team and the person isn't told who reported them. For anything you can't report in the app, email support@shootyourshot.co with the subject “Safety” and include the person's name.

How do I block someone?

Tap the ⋮ menu on their profile, one of their shots or your thread with them and choose Block. Blocked users can't see your content, shoot back, react to you or call you, and you won't see theirs. To unblock, go to Settings → Blocked users.

Who can use Reel Love?

Adults 18 and older only. Your date of birth is confirmed when you sign up and can't be changed afterward. Accounts belonging to anyone under 18 are removed. If you think a minor is using the app, report the account and choose “May be under 18,” or email support@shootyourshot.co. See our Child safety standards.

How fast will I hear back?

We review reports and answer support requests within 24 hours. Content that breaks our Community guidelines is removed and the accounts that posted it are suspended or banned.

How do I sign in?

With Apple, Google or your email address. With email, we send you a 6-digit code, no password needed. If the code doesn't arrive, check your spam folder and request a new one.

How do I change my notifications?

Go to Settings → Notifications to turn push on or off, or choose which ones you get: reactions, replies and live calls.
