Child safety

Last updated: October 24, 2026

These are the Reel Love standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). They apply to everyone, everywhere on Reel Love: shots, shoot-backs, profiles, threads and live calls.

Zero tolerance

We do not allow, under any circumstances, child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content or behavior that sexually exploits or endangers children. This includes:

  • any sexual or sexualized image, video, audio or text involving a person under 18, real or simulated;
  • grooming, or any attempt to contact, meet, or obtain images from a minor for sexual purposes;
  • sextortion, or threats to share intimate images;
  • trafficking, or advertising or soliciting minors; and
  • sharing, requesting or linking to CSAM anywhere, including off the app.

Any account involved is permanently banned immediately, and the content is removed and preserved for reporting as the law requires.

Adults only

  • Reel Love is for people 18 and older. Everyone must confirm a date of birth showing they are 18+ before using the app, and it cannot be changed later.
  • The app is not designed for or marketed to children.
  • Accounts we believe belong to someone under 18 are removed, and content showing minors is not allowed even if it is not sexual.

How to report

  • In the app: open the ⋮ menu on any shot, profile or thread, tap Report and choose May be under 18 (or the reason that fits best). Reports go straight to our safety team, and the person isn't told who reported them.
  • By email: support@shootyourshot.co with the subject “Child safety”. Include the person's name and what you saw. Please don't attach or forward the material itself.
  • Outside the app: you can also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline (US), or to your local police. If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.

What we do

  • Child safety reports are handled first, ahead of all other reports, and always within 24 hours.
  • We remove the content and ban the accounts involved.
  • We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as US law requires, and cooperate with law enforcement in the US and elsewhere.
  • We preserve relevant information as required by law to support investigations.
  • We comply with applicable child safety laws in every country where the app is available.

Child safety point of contact

Our safety team is our designated point of contact for child safety, including questions from app stores, NCMEC and law enforcement. Email support@shootyourshot.co with the subject “Child safety”. Law enforcement requests can also go to legal@shootyourshot.co.
